I’ve worked with Symphony when working on the ZombieAttack blog. My first impression was that it was a little overwhelming. I also decided that it was a bit more powerful than what I was going to be using it for.
Today though, I’ve started using it for a brand new project, and I have to say, I think I’m falling in love. Basically this blogging software has thought of everything. After a more thorough investigation, it seems no wonder that infamous blog such as The Big Noob are using it. So far, I haven’t found much it can’t do.
Starting off, it may feel like you’re building a site from scratch, but after the initial customization and setup(not installation), the ease of use is amazing for such a complex piece of software. Every piece of it is artful, right down to the use of AJAX.
Symphony definitely is not for the faint of heart, but if you’re looking for power, look no further! I still do however, love Textpattern for it’s powerful yet lightweight feel. Pixelspread has been running it since day one.
