Gleamd made the Digg homepage for a bit today. I saw a lot of “high school” comments. “What is this, a popularity contest?” “This is like high school all over again!”
To be honest, if anything felt like high school again, it’s the Digg users and comments. So far, the Gleamd community has been mature, have submitted interesting people, and I’ve honestly seen everyone using the site as I’d like to use it myself: For learning something new about interesting people on the internet.
If the Gleamd community can continue to grow and maintain a mature nature, I think it can be a wonderful resource. Hopefully we WON’T attract the Digg crowd. I have more faith in the internet than what Digg users are trying to prove to be true.
here here! I HATE the fuckin’ bitching on DIGG, nothing but a shower of bastards!!
Wow. I had no idea you were behind Gleamd until I checked the footer. Good job!
