This is a quick tip if you’re looking for an easy way to keep your Nano(or any iPod for that matter) up to date with your most recent and all time favorites. I say Nano simply because it probably can’t handle everything on your library, so why not automatically have it find your favorites?
First you’re going to need to create a smart playlist (File>New Smart Playlist…). Now you’re going to want to Edit the properties of it, and Match it to any of the following:
My Rating is greater than 2 star
Last Played is in the last 3 days
Date Added is in the last 6 days
Limit it to a little under the maximum capacity of your iPod. For me that’s about 1.8GB. Obviously if you’ve got more or less than 2GBs, yours will be different. Sometimes that might be less if you like to do things like keep pictures on your Nano.
Have the tracks selected by Most Recently Played
Now you should have a playlist made up of some recent additions, most recently played songs, and top rated stuff, just enough to fill up your iPod. Now go ahead and sync that list with your iPod, and you’re all set!
I like this information and to be a truth i really enjoy reading this thankyou.
